GREAT LIVE ENTERTAINMENT TO PLAY AT INDY 500 THROUGHOUT MAY
Blues Traveler headlines a variety of free concerts featuring local, national acts

INDIANAPOLIS, Tuesday, May 4, 2004 - Live music by talented local and internationally famous acts will mix with the roar of Chevrolet, Honda and Toyota engines at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the month of May.

Musical acts from a wide background of song and sound - from Duke Tumatoe´s blues May 14 to four popular Christian music bands May 16 - will perform on the Coca-Cola Stage in the Pagoda Plaza directly behind the Speedway´s landmark Bombardier Pagoda control tower.

Highlighting the concert calendar is Grammy Award-winning artist Blues Traveler, which will headline the annual Miller Lite Carb Day concert on May 27. Kenny Brack and the Subwoofers - led by 1999 Indianapolis 500 winner and guitar virtuoso Kenny Brack - will open for Blues Traveler. Brack and his band also opened the Miller Lite Carb Concert in 2003.

Live music featuring country music artist Jolie Holliday also is planned at the Chevy Stage, located in the east parking lot of the Hall of Fame Museum, on May 26-30.

Fans can enjoy live music while relaxing or ordering concessions or souvenirs. All concerts are included in the price of admission to the Speedway grounds each day.
